Security Analysts at
MicroWorld Technologies inform that a new variant
of the Trojan named ‘Trojan-Spy.Win32.Goldun’
or ‘Trojan.Goldun.K’ is a dangerous species
with Keylogging and Rootkit capacities. It can steal
passwords and other confidential information, yet
remain invisible. With its ability to hide files and
registry entries using the Rootkit component, this
Trojan can escape even some of the AntiVirus software.
By definition, Trojan is a program with abilities
of intrusion, spying and destruction of information
systems. This description does not really talk about
any specific features of the malware than the motives
of the attacker. With thick demarcations between different
types of malware diminishing really fast, Trojan writers
are roping in Keyloggers, Rootkits and Stealth to
enhance their malice to more dangerous levels.
Originally, the term Rootkit was used to describe
altered and recompiled set of Unix tools designed
to conceal any trace of intruders. Today, highly evolved
